If F was “relatively cheap” in January, Y probably wasn’t incredibly expensive (I know I was seeing F differences well under $100 on my routes around then, and AS was running deals all winter, some of which could work against F fares). I wouldn’t be surprised if the fare difference was only $100 or thereabouts. So if AS came at me with a $150 certificate, that might in fact be pretty fair.
