Stay Report - 4/21 to 4/22

Location: Not the best part of the hotel, especially these days. It's south of the action and unless you're here to do business at some of the nearby office buildings or for a game at the arenas you're better off farther north. There are a few places open around the hotel (including a fun doughnut place called Hurts Donut) but the area is pretty dead. No issues getting Ubers though and it's only about 20 minutes to MSY.

Hotel: The hotel itself is quite impressive. It's a massive building with a huge center atrium. Check in is done on the 1st floor, the 2nd floor has a lot of meeting space and a FedEx Office and the third floor has the restaurants and bars. Be advised it's two elevators or an elevator and two escalators to get from your room to the lobby. Also the elevators do not require a key card. Also if you're staying on a weekday like I did be further advised nothing is open. When I say nothing I mean:

- Valet Parking: Weekends only
- Restaurants and Bars: Weekends only
- Pool and Fitness Center: Weekends only
- Lobby Starbucks: Closed completely

They have a limited room service menu but that's it. There is also no housekeeping.

Check In: No Discoverist recognition which was surprising. Usually I get my bottles of water and late checkout option

Room: Nice enough but small and aging badly. The bathroom was especially tiny and water pressure in the shower was awful. The walls are also very thin and if you're leaning your head on the headboard and your neighbor shuts their door your whole body vibrates. On the plus side WIfi worked well, there was power next to the beds and at the desk but that doesn't make up for all the scuffs on the furniture.

Overall this hotel is a big avoid weekdays and probably weekends too.
