Looking at breakfast alone, you're absolutely correct in that opinion, but I am assuming the Club will also provide other benefits during the day beyond breakfast. I have booked through Prive, which includes breakfast for two adults, so for me the Club being open during other times besides breakfast will provide additional value during my stay, whereas I would get no additional value by it being closed since I already get breakfast.
