Yes, if you pick up the car at 7pm on your pickup day then you have until 7pm on your return day. You actually have until 7:29pm since they give you a 29 minute grace period, but best not to push it.
Whoa, not so fast. I have had cars disappear after two hours due to flight delays requiring a trip to the counter and the attendant queues.
