We rented a car for 2 days during our stay in Kuala Kangsar.

From the Kuala Kangsar train station, we stopped at 1 local restaurant which served authentic Perakian cuisines to have our lunch.

Squid's eggs.

Grilled Fish (Ikan Bakar)

Minced Beef with Banana Shoots.

Condiments for the Grilled Fish (Sambal Belacan & Tempoyak)

After lunch, it was the time for sightseeing historical landmarks and attractions in this royal town. First, we visited this unique looking structure which is known as the "Pavilion Tower".

Built in year 1920 during the reign of Sultan Iskandar Shah who ruled the state from 1918 – 1938, this tower was used as the resting place for Sultan Iskandar Shah after polo matches. It was designed by architect N.E. Don B.C.D.

Next, we visited 1 of the most historic landmarks not only to Kuala Kangsar town and the Perak state, but also to Malaysia.

This is 1 of the oldest Rubber tree in Malaysia which grown from an original seedling brought into the country and planted by the British. The Rubber industry then became 1 of the most important sources of income for Malaya (later Malaysia).

This Rubber tree which is over 140++ years old still standing tall.

Vintage Rubber mangle machines were also on display.

We passed by the historical Church of Resurrection. This small Anglican church which its building made-up 100% by woods was consecrated in year 1908.

Kuala Kangsar is also home to several schools that was established during the British colonial era such as this Clifford school.
