(Not all Chicago pizza restaurants suck. But I'm not a fan of stuffed, deep dish or tavern style.) Actually, he wanted to order from a NYC place that a friend recommended. Which makes me laugh because he's not an NYC pizza expert and I could point him toward some pretty authentic NY slices here in Chicago.
I thought tavern style referred to the way it was cut into squares but is basically just a thin crust pizza. No?
