Last time I sat in 13A, I could swear that the seat was narrower than other seats on account of some protrusion by the exit door. I didn't pack a tape measure to verify, but I felt pretty confident in that assessment. That, along with the tray tables in armrests, are good to know if you are claustrophobic.
You may wish to keep an eye out for a seat in row 10 as upgrades to First clear, as I prefer 10 over 13.
Narrower yes, but most likely due to tray table in the armrest reducing overall seat width. Otherwise your row would protrude into aisle a couple of inches, causing a hazard to movement. You may not feel it at first but after several hours you'll notice. Can confirm this after 15 hours to SYD in normal economy and 14 hours back in exit row w/ armrest mounted tray table. I avoid exit rows on long-haul for that reason (and because of cold temps).
