I just finished a three night stay there - very similar experience: welcome bottle of wine, late checkout offered, WiFi was acceptable (7/6, enough to FaceTime), parlor suite upgrade. There was some wear in the room but no major issues. A couple of things I noticed:

1. While I had communicated with a couple of the staff before the trip to mention my wife was going to check in, she was given some pretty significant resistance at that time.
2. Nice Friday reception overall, generally friendly.
3. Staff was uniformly pleasant to excellent.
4. Parking isn’t the most secure but was fine for the stay.
5. Breakfast wasn’t an option, which was the only significant negative. Not a dealbreaker since I knew about it in advance.
6. Bed was pretty firm (worked for me, less so for the wife).

Really liked the place and the location - if I find myself in SJC I’ll stay there again. I’m really looking forward to when they provide breakfast.
