Actually you will find that Expedia are VERY helpful. Choose your trip and click to purchase. It will come up with a page that half-way down offers to show you the rules for the flights. Click on this and you will see the fare codes for each leg (if they differ) displayed clearly.
Thanks, seems the fare is I class which according to the BA website table is applicable. When I stated they were not helpful I was referring to the 'phone service who claimed I would have to pay for the ticket before they would know.
