I finally got something approaching useful...two hits of 4,000 miles each.

The Avis discount might actually be useful if I end up in a car rental situation in the next few months (though the prospect of this between now and the end of July is pretty low). I don't have much to say regarding Avis, but with car rental rates going nuts...well, it might actually slide my business over for a trip if I need a car for some reason.

(NB: I've generally been driving everywhere, so for the most part this is irrelevant. But there's an if/then which applies here...this might have convinced me to track down a rental when I had a fuel pump go bad, but the prospect of driving a new-ish car doesn't thrill me.)
