I’m going to fill you in on a little secret too. I am Australian https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/33178299-post503.html , just living in Hong Kong right now, my brother is still there and one of the sceptics I just described. Not only do I talk to him but I talk to my classmates still there and a local frequent flyer group there too.

We already missed out on one funeral (my maternal aunt), my cousin then had to get married here without his remaining immediate family, my mother is still desperately hoping she sees my nephew’s graduation before she kicks the bucket.

But even without our Australian family links, we have very much the same problem getting back into Hong Kong, too.
