Yeah, having the AMEX Platinum or higher somewhat compensates for this (only 1 guest with AMEX), but rumors are AMEX will jack up the annual fee by about $150 come July. They get you from every direction.
Without a doubt, the value of the AMEX Platinum increased. The good news is that the PP still have restaurant credits.
