I totally don't understand this outrageous pricing that Hilton has for ugraded/premium rooms. Does anyone ever even redeem for those rates? I find it very very hard to believe unless someone has billions of points to blow which is just highly unlikely. So I find it totally pointless for them to even offer the rooms at those beyond ridiculous rates.

Unlike Marriott where many hotels offer their upgraded rooms at quite reasonable additional points or cash and members actually book those rooms at those higher rates leaving the standard room availability for others. I'd love to see Hilton institute such a system as well.
