Here is a question: If I am flying on an AA codeshare operated by B6 (AA ticket, B6 metal), can I SDC onto an AA-operated flight? And then (bonus question) earn AS miles?

The AA FAQ says "Your new flight must ... be marketed and operated by American Airlines or American Eagle." However, it doesn't specify any requirements for the *original* flight.
