With the often noncontiguous on and off again standard vs way-premium redemptions, the GW does rather encourage some creative hotel hopping not to mention the annoyance of continually circling back to try to grab a 95,000 point stay. I find the dance slightly anti-hospitable. Not that 95,000 points isn’t a great value (and weekend cert even better), but it wasn’t that long ago that I would have rolled my eyes at spending 95k most anywhere for a regular room/garden view. I know...good old days.
