Just do not say that AmEx makes more money from those "road warriors" who charge a lot of air tickets on the Platinum vs the casual family travelers who only travel twice a year.

The families with kids probably will never stay in the lounges for 3 hours. But those single "road warriors" certainly have the tendency to stay there longer.

Over-crowding? Certainly. Frequent and longer stays.....
Agree. As long as the war warriors are using the Am Ex card for their primary spend Am Ex is making out. Most war warriors aren't going to be drinking a lot and if they are upgraded when things are normal with meal service will probably eat in flight. Each lounge visit means a business trip which means airfare, hotel, meals, etc are being charged. In my case I prefer the Chase Sapphire card since I have a $14Kish parking charge I can expense every month that codes as travel with chase and would rather have all my points there, especially since I can use PYB at home improvement stores right now.and am hoping to accumulate enough to pay for a new central air unit since they extended it but a lot of the the business Am Ex travel card holders have to use that card.
