Yeah, I’d agree. While not necessarily the last leg of the entire trip (who’s going to fly the plane out from DSM?), almost certainly either:
1) last leg of the day, and they were going to time out.
2) UA needed them into DSM no later than 10:30pm, so they could get the minimum 10 hrs rest and fly DSM-ORD at 8:30am the next day.
Delaying by 30 mins means the flight the next day is late, f’ing up another whole day’s schedule.
yes that is what I meant except this particular plane left at 630am back to Houston so not sure this crew could have flown it. This actually compounds the issue even further and inconveniences two crews and two planes-full of passengers in DSM.
