Absolutely agreed. And I abide by their rules while I am in the club.

And it is my prerogative to not renew if I find my $725.00 (soon to be more) annual fee isn't providing the value it once did.

They can continue to participate in Covid hygiene theater (despite the new CDC guidance that says it's not necessary). I applaud AMEX's feel good theater of having folks walking around sanitizing seats and fixtures and constantly reminding folks to only remove their mask while actively eating or drinking. I'm sure it does give some measure of feeling more "safe" to those that like that sort of thing. Meanwhile, while they are satiating some number of guests (and likely employees) with those theatrics and capacity restrictions, they will alienate many more folks like me that run greater than $100K of business and personal expenses through their AMEX cards every year.
