Now that Tahiti announced they're reopening on May 1, I was hoping our chances of that AF flight operating was greater. We aren't horribly opposed to booking new tickets on Air Tahiti Nui since they are flying, but want to keep the original itinerary to help towards maintaining our DL status. I wonder how far in advance AF would cancel those flights?
Last year (June) they canceled our flight about 30 days before
We have our trip re-scheduled for mid-June so would be very interested to hear your experience on your upcoming May trip.
Tahiti opening up May 1st is a great first step. But being on AF as well we still need France to open up flights out of the country. Then the US needs to accept at least transfer flights through the US. A lot has to happen in a very short time, but I’ll think positive.
