You would be lucky to have a whole row to yourself in economy anymore, let alone an empty middle seat. I have been missing the upgrades quite frequently over the last month & most flights I have been on are going out mostly full.
In general I agree, but if the OP is within 24-48 hours and the Y+ Cabin is 8/56, it’s a pretty safe bet that the plane won’t be going out all that full.
