Correct, this is where the issue was. The crib was requested at the time the room was booked. I've attached a screenshot of the reservation. Imprecise wording is the issue here. Note that it says these room features are "Guaranteed unless otherwise noted." There are some options that have a note that says "Request only". I've always taken this to mean that these are only available upon request, but that appears to not be correct (no, I'm not a Marriott regular). I'm now assuming that means that feature is only a request, and not one of those that's guaranteed. It's not the most clear way of presenting it (for those of us who aren't Marriott regulars), but I can certainly see where the misunderstanding was now. Hopefully you can also see how this could lead to confusion among those who don't see this screen multiple times a month.

This goes beyond the crib issue, but this is an amazing screenshot. It says "
guaranteed unless otherwise noted", and every single item is otherwise noted as "request only. The only exception is an accessible room, and even that has an exception that it must be available at time of booking.
I'm not saying that these things should be guaranteed, but rather since
nothing is guaranteed, they should just remove the "
guaranteed unless otherwise noted" text altogether.
