For cribs, one should probably confirm with the property by email or phone before arrival if one wants it. To expect it to be there or rely on the property to provide a “functional” one, especially at a limited service property, is unreasonable. Plus others have pointed out that cribs are on request anyways.

Or just do what some have said, buy one and return, because that’s not sketchy
