Flights must be marketed and operated by American Airlines or codeshare flights marketed by American Airlines and operated by oneworld member airlines and affiliates.
I think before Alaska joined oneworld, flights had to be marketed and operated by AA and they didn't count codeshares. Would you earn the same amount of miles if flying AA or JAL as AA codeshare?
