The quality of a fast paced thread can be improved by following these guidelines:

1. Use the Multi-Quote feature. Multi-Quote allows you to tag posts as you read, all the way to the end of the thread, before starting your reply. Many times you will find that someone else has already posted a suitable reply, which you can "Like", and you will not need to repeat the same information or opinion.

2. Quote judiciously. It's pointless to quote the entire text of a multi-paragraph post and add a one line reply. Instead of highlighting (bolding) a line in the quoted text, please DELETE the text that does not provide context for your reply.

3. Write about American Express products, policies and practices, not about each other.

4. If you cannot tolerate the messages posted by specific members, learn to use the Ignore List function. You won't see their posts anywhere on Flyertalk.
