What are the unofficial thresholds of q-miles?

My mother currently has:

YTD Elite Qualifying Miles: 24,512

No more travel scheduled this calendar year. She needs 488 more miles to requalify for GLD. (yes, lowly GLD, but she really appreciates the few perks that it includes)

I remember reading that there were certain unofficial requalification levels (99k miles, 95k points for EXP; 49.5k miles for PLT, etc.). Is this the case for GLD as well? Will 24.5k miles allow her to requalify?

Should I encourage my mother to fly one more segment, or will she be okay?

Thanks!
