TK has the monopoly between PTY and IST but they are only one of the carriers inside the PTY - EU route with a stopover.

Plus it's highly normal that one-way tickets are priced much higher than round-trip ones. Purchasing a point to point direct ticket wouldn't be cheap in any condition.
