Renting a car or taxis in Zanzibar?

Hi all,

Next month, we plan to spend 4 nights all inclusive at the Sea Cliff Resort & Spa at Mangapwani (North-west). Shall we rent a car or book a taxi at each of our movements out & in from this place?
- This hotel looks fairly isolated and far from the main road (45min walk).
- Rental quotes start at $25 per day without driver (+ a one time 10$ fee for the driving license). But no big company.
- We need at least 2 compulsory return taxi trips at minimum $70 each; first from airport to resort and back, the second from resort to Stone Town and back for our departure Covid-19 tests.
- Does anyone know the price of petrol there (nearly $1)?

How recklessly locals and dala-dalas behave on the Zanzibar (good condition?) roads? Like mainland, is it strongly discouraged to drive at night too?
Not sure if it matters but I'm used to RHT.

Thanks a lot!
