Seems like the Hyatt branding team is up to some shenanigans again - there's a property opening north of Chicago that's calling itself a "boutique-inspired" Hyatt Place.

It sounds like what makes it "boutique" and not a real Hyatt Place is the inclusion of an onsite restaurant and ballroom/event space. But otherwise everything else is a standard Hyatt Place fare. It's an interesting concept, as most of my stays are at HPs due to work, I'd happily welcome an onsite restaurant alongside the consistency of a HP room & breakfast. But very curious to flag this as a Hyatt Place, and not just drop it into one of the "Independent Collections" (don't get me started on the branding team's love of Timeless/Boundless Portfolio)
