We just got back from a weekend stay there, our first time to this hotel and it was completely underwhelming, the biggest selling point of this hotel is its outdoor areas and it was a complete mess. I understand the challenges of seat saving and such that occur at every resort like this, but what I was particularly frustrated with was the sheer number of reserved seating that sat unused. I don't begrudge the hotel for having paid seating, but what I do have an issue with is paid seating sitting empty when hotel guests can't find anywhere to sit. After no success finding seating on the first day and only spending a short time at the pool, being on Midwest time worked in our favor the second morning and we got out there at 7:00 AM to stake out our spot, but this was a terrible look for the hotel:

Nice they raked the sand, but what kind of care for their job does that person have that they left that towel in the sand they raked. There were employees out and around the pool, but no towels were available until 9:00 AM, even though the pool opens at 6:30 AM.

Our room was nothing special, no upgrade as a Globalist, got breakfast in the restaurant, buffet or order off the menu.

The activity sheet listed 'make your own sugar cookie' as an activity at 10:00 AM this morning, so we planned on doing that right before we left. It was nowhere to be found until several employees showed up at 10:10 AM and hurriedly set up tables and chairs (then removed the chairs, because they didn't want the kids sitting at the table to make them, Covid and all) and then gruffly handed out cookies, frosting and sprinkles to the kids.

Overall, underwhelming and disappointing. Maybe when it's cheap in the offseason and not as crowded and the Regency Club is open.
