Agree 100% - The kicker is that there is little to no evidence that better Bonvoy customers have been driven away on any meaningful basis. It wasn't showing up in pricing or occupancy pre-Covid. Arguably Hilton was the brand with the most momentum pre-Covid, and they are not lauded for the power of their loyalty program / brand consistently either

FWIW I think Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, etc have OTA contributions in the mid teens to 20% range
