We are booked on a 737-738 Oasis 5 1/2 hour flight PHL-LAS. After reading how cramped this plane is, I choose to upgrade our seats for more leg room. We currently are reserved in the first row behind FC in seats 8A- 8B. My husband is a large man at 6'5" 250 pounds. Will the armrest with the tray table in it and the fact that it doesn't go up be an issue?

All of the emergency exit row seats in Row 17 are still available. Could anyone that is familiar with this plane advise me if we should change our seats form Row 8 to Row 17? I'd appreciate your help!
