Anyone that can tell me what the "urban experience fee" covers? Looking to make a booking and the rates show a ~$14 "urban experience fee," but no description of what the fee covers. The fee in itself isn't a dealbreaker (although I really, really, hate these fees), but it would be nice to know what it covers given this hotel doesn't have any spectacular amenities as it is.
unless I didn’t pay attention to this during all my stays at this Sofitel, such a fee is new at this hotel and is certainly an unwelcome development. They will likely tell you it is covering (free) internet access and some towels in the bathroom
. Please ask the hotel what it is, contest those fees and have them cancelled.
