Came across this while searching for possible lodging in Fairbanks.. Cat 2 so a pretty good deal in summer overthere. No info on FT (not even in planned hotel thread), but plenty of rather average tripadvisor reviews that refer to it as holiday inn (with IHG manager responding).
Gave them a call - apparently they reopened as Hyatt Place a few months ago after full interior renovation.
