Hyatt Place Las Vegas/Silverton did this to me on three different stays in order to put a $50 hold for incidentals. However, each time they did this they first took the card saying the ap often doesn’t record the card; only then did they tell me they were putting
on the $50 hold. I balked and they said it was their policy.
