my third 500 points posted to mypoints on the Overstock.com offer, all 3 were $1 CDs. Pretty easy boost to top off the HH account to an award level, but still waiting for the first 1000 mypoint transfer to catch up on HH. I can't imagine actually chasing this daily, but it was a fun exercise in cheap points.

If I was S.P.A.M. enabled, I would post there that $2.40 x 3 transactions = 1500 mypoints: 1400 needed for a $10 gas card, or $7.20 for a $10 gas card plus 3 CDs (not counting the 100 point remainder, which may as well accrue to Hilton), a 28% discount on gas. So actually, I will chase this daily for awhile to keep the gas tanks filled.

In addition, my son will have some fun on his Amazon account trying to sell these CDs cheap, where I believe the minimum shipping cost will allow us to recoup some of the $2.40 per, even if he sells some CDs at $0.01.

On the other hand, if unsold, I will have plenty of stocking stuffers for the baby boomers in the family.
