Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of recipes of his that we love, but generally I would say when he's going for recipes that are umami bombs, they are too rich for our tastes. I don't think it was the case with the meatloaf, but his ragu includes a zillion kinds of meats including liver and left us both with heartburn.

I love Thai basil chicken!
