I boarded at the elite call and the middle seat was empty when I was seated, so close to the end of the boarding a couple comes on board and one of them has the middle and the other has a seat farther in the back, so they ask the FA is there anyway they can get two seats together. Much to my surprise the FA comes over to me and asks if I mind moving and taking the other seat. I said no, so they just stood close to the entry way trying to figure out what they were going to do, of course the lady asks me again if I would more and again I say no..

So the other passengers did not have the sense to get their seat assignments early so they were stuck not sitting together, I can understand them wanting to fix that, but I am pissed that a FA would ask someone who she knew picked that seat to move. Every happen to anyone else??
Why not say, as sweetly as possible: "I'd rather not switch -- why don't you ask the person with the middle seat in row 945 if they wouldn't mind moving up to row 7?"
