So many years ago, I would book flights with orbitz as oppose to directly with the airline because that is how I use to do it back then. Had no idea you should always book directly with the airline, whether Jetblue, Delta or American Airlines etc. When I look at flight dates and prices, I like to check orbitz because it gives me a quick summary of the prices for dates a lot faster than going directly to Jetblue, Delta or American Airlines.


But the last few years I been booking directly with the airline. Now when I see prices and date I like, I then go to one of those airline direct sites and almost always, the price listed on orbitz will be same as on Jetblue, Delta or American Airlines. But what I notice is... for some reason Delta is much higher price on website than orbitz. Anyone know why? Example it shows a much lower price on orbitz for Delta flights compared to if you go directly to Delta. Does orbtiz guarantee those prices if you book it through them or not? Jetblue and American Airlines however seem to show the exact same price when comparing the dates and times though.


Anyone know the reason for this? I think a while back I saw a similar thing with orbitz and Jetblue. But anyone here book flight with third party and got that price as oppose to directly with airline price which is higher? Imagine it being 50 dollars or more cheaper on orbitz as oppose to Delta.
