Does anyone know what happens to the credit if you cancel a booking that has used the credit? Does the $200 general travel credit re-appear back in the account?

Worse case, I will just cancel the hotel and eat the $200.
I know someone who had their first appointment come up during a vacation; she decided to fly home, get the shot, and fly back during her vacation!
