From what I've seen of GE members who have a middle name on passports but don't ticket with any middle name -- and don't even load any middle name into Secure Flight fields on ticketed PNRs because some ID may or may not have the middle name(s) -- I would say that PreCheck comes just fine on their boarding passes most of the time. The few exceptions at times are increasingly limited to international flights bound to the US, but that usually is not an issue over a middle name showing or not showing somewhere.
