Add the kids, and I would go for 4 windows in a row (if everyone likes to look out the window) or go window/aisle on the same side for two rows.
Thanks - I was actually also considering the 4 windows in a row! Will ask the kids what they want! It does seem with how private they are you're pretty much getting up or moving a bit to talk to them no matter where you are.
