As I had fear, Iberia insist their system won't process a refund, despite it being a cancelled flight with new flight numbers over 8 hours earlier. I will have to process this through my bank/cc company? or are there other options?

They tried to claim that because i'm based in Mexico that EU law doesn't cover this change.
