Hi Folks,

Would be grateful for your guidance on this situation. I booked my parents in law on AA for a trip PHX-BOS in business (a D fare) in mid-May at a fare of approxomately $1100 each, round trip. They were originally booked on non-stops, as they are elderly and airports are not easy for them to manage.

Subsequent to ticketing, AA changed the flights so they now connect through DFW on the outbound flight, as AA no longer offers any daytime non-stop on their planned outbound date, only a redeye, which they are not interested in.

I'd like to rebook them for new dates later in May, when AA resumes the day-time non-stop, but it appears AA has zeroed-out all of the discounted business class fares on the later days and is only offering them in full J class, which would triple their fare to around $3000.

So my question is whether I can expect AA to put them into a non-stop on a new date in later May or early June, when they paid for D tickets and AA is only offering tickets in J.

Any advice?

Thanks!

JK
