I stayed at this Hilton in January. As a Diamond, I was upgraded to a what I call partial Ocean view room. The lounge was closed and breakfast at the main restaurant was rather mediocre, they did however offer a 50 Real F&B credit per night for Diamonds (enough for just about 2 local beers). Keep in mind that is per night and if you don`t use it every day you will forfeit that. I ended up getting no credit at all, after a long discussion with the front desk staff who told me they would adjust 50 Reals for every day I was at the bar (which of course never happened). Hotel itself was a basic Hilton, like you would find it in Europe, Wifi was good, bed was comfortable and the room reasonably sized. I was there on business trip, which resulted in a decent corporate rate (which may explain the discussion about a F&B credit). During regular times and on regular room rates, I really wouldn`t bother, there are better bargains to have in Rio.
They do offer a beach towel service on the beach during the day, however the bar on the beach is run by some other guys, which I found to be rather indifferent with slow to non existent service.
