Actually, whilst DME is definitely much nicer (along with cool views for ex-Soviet aircraft enthusiasts), SVO wasn't that bad. I've been through worse (IAH and LOS come to mind).

I must say too, when I went through DME (domestic side) the person I was travelling with had some tools (screwdrivers, etc) that were allowed through. There was no baggage check for the flight (it was a Yak-40 where you brought your luggage on board and deposited on the shelf by the stairs). I guess they wouldn't get through now.
