Cute place. Stayed 2 nights over the weekend last weekend, when everywhere in town was full at sky-high rates. Great use of two Cat 1-7 certs. Location is primo for stumbling back from Duval Street, which was hopping until 3am Saturday and 1/1:30am Sunday night.

Check in -- arrived at 1pm but was told the room wouldn't be ready until closer to 4, though they'd try to prioritize it. Went for lunch, returned at 3:45, still not ready but they gave me vouchers for 2 apps and 2 drinks while I waited...and the room was then ready like 5 minutes later (and still before check in time), so no big deal. No major upgrade but I was given a nice top floor room with a water view from the balcony. Premium parking spots (free for glob on award nights) were very convenient to the elevator.

Breakfast -- glob benefit is essentially whatever you want off the menu (entree, side, beverages for 2 adults and 2 kids), took a while to get seated each morning but the food was good. Everyone was super friendly and offered tips on which bars had what kind of music and so forth.

Water shoes (chacos, etc) were absolutely wonderful to get to the floating platform in the private cove (and when we went to the beach at Fort Zach).

Probably won't be back to Key West for a while (and while the live music and bar scene was fun, I don't think I'd ever pay the prevailing rates here), but this was a great use of the certs and I certainly didn't think the property was too old or worn out.
