I actually thought of booking another run to FLL and back, but the fares jumped up and 40% promos went away.
Hint: Book LAX-SEA-FLL. Do it as a multi-segment booking so you can see the leg prices and what magically pops up when they are combined into a through fare. I flew the route last Monday, connecting to the SEA-FLL red-eye, booked two days out; the fare was $123. The LAX-SEA cleared into F on purchase since there was U availability. The SEA-FLL segment upgraded just after OLCI leaving the waitlist empty. The flight went out with 4 empty F, including 1C beside me.

Seeking out cheap through fares has been fruitful & fun. PHX-SEA-ORD was available for $100 for quite some time.

AA has some incredibly cheap F fares for a change of pace and liquor minis. I am flying AA LAX-DFW(789)-PHX on Tuesday for $132 with 3 hours in a lie-flat. It still earns 150% EQM & 200%/250%/275% RDM for Elites and is now part of the the 20K/40K/75K EQM requirements for Elite status with the requisite AS flight segments.
