The point wasn't how much you can drink in an hour. The point was the wineries don't block "wine tasting" time for lounging around. Especially in limited capacity times, even smaller places have to be much more regimented in their processes.

Might I suggest that you look for a place that sells wine by the glass or bottle for on-site consumption, perhaps with picnic grounds. (Sorry, I don't have any particular suggestions in the Napa Valley - despite its proximity, I don't think I've been in a Napa Valley tasting room since GWB was in office.)
