I wonder if they send the data weekly. I flew on a Thursday and the miles posted the following Wednesday; the return was on a Monday and the miles posted the following Wednesday (not the next day, but 8 days later). Perhaps some sort of a transmission occurs on, say, Tuesday, of flight activity for the preceding week (defined as, say, Sunday through Saturday or whatever) which AA then runs through their database on Wednesday.
