I think the current "one hour rule" is Covid-related. There aren't many places where, going through even 5 or 6 or if you've got a great server who wants to pour extra stuff, 7 tastes, that an hour is an unreasonably short time.

If you want some tasty bubbles and want to take a nice drive (although one that could cause seasickness on land for some) is to take Highway 128 to Philo. This is in Mendocino County (not far from Sonoma Co.) - just take 101N to 128W and take the windy road. You'll find Scharffenberger and Roederer, among others. Super chill, and none of the constipation you'll find in much of the Napa Valley.

Note that everyone's covid tasting hours and setups aren't anything like the "good old days" of just stopping in. Hopefully within a few months, things will change.
